This utility "hardens" all soft counters in a NotaBene file. You should be in the file you want to alter. Assuming that HARDEN.RUN is in your NB4 subdirectory, or its XPL branch, simply type "RUN HARDEN.RUN " at the action line. If the file contains no counters it will warn you and stop without proceeding.

Warning: The program does not handle cross-references, which will in fact go blank.

This program was written and tested on Nota Bene 4.1, but has no codes introduced since Nota Bene 3.0. Reports confirm that it will work at least on Nota Bene 3.1. It may also work on some versions of XyWrite.
