ClearMemThis XPL program aims to lessen the chance of memory conflicts when switching back and forth between NB 4.1's Orbis, Ibid, and general word processing. It unloads the main dictionary, and clears both Orbis and Ibid in order to allow for a fresh start. ClearM21.zipClearmem.doc in html format4.1 or 4.2
Will not work with 4.5!
MarkWell An xpl program to convert Nota Bene files into HTML format. It invokes a series of routines in other files, which all have the .N2H extension. It is not a particularly pretty program and you will probably need to do additional manual editing in order to get your web page to look just right, but it should give you a good start. (Includes html2nb.run for conversion from HTML to NB. Thanks to Roy Harris for help with Lingua characters.) MarkWell.zipMarkWell.txt4.5, but will probably work with 4.2
HardenThis utility "hardens" all soft counters in a NotaBene file. You should be in the file you want to alter. Warning: The program does not handle cross-references, which will in fact go blank. Harden.ZipHarden.doc in html format3.0 or later
FN ComboThis is a program to combine all the footnotes in a paragraph or defined block into a single note of that paragraph or block. One can then reedit the footnote more easily. I wrote it because I like to make very precise citations while I'm in the writing stage, but then want to combine citations wherever possible for my final draft. The program automatically sense whether to work with a block or paragraph. FNCombo.RUN

4.5 (probably 4.2)

IBIDIAG, written by Jukka-Pekka Takala This is a program (25300 bytes) for diagnosing Nota Bene IBID's and IBIDEM's datafiles and indexing system. It helps in identification and removal of problems that can prevent the retrieval of records and, in worst cases, can lead to permament loss of data. I recommend the use of Ibidiag every now and then, every time there are problems with Ibid, and particularly always before and after running Maintain. (Run Ibidiag before running Maintain. Save the report file under another name. After Maintain, run Ibidiag again and compare the reports.) Ibidiag includes an important module written by Peter Binkley.ibidg205.zip

Woozley's text remains unchanged, except for additional headings here and there. The TOCs are fairly detailed, in order to be able to use them as quick reminders of programming points. cpg.zip Bernard's README file.
